Skills Hubs are on the way, as we prepare to launch the first of our innovative learning partnerships with schools. From September 2018 we will partner with schools to create the first
Skills Hub providing accredited training in specialist skills for the schools workforce. Skills Hubs will provide qualifications in specialist areas like counselling and supporting teaching and learning in schools. Skills Hubs will also provide training to partners schools in Academy chains, other local schools and the local community.
The Skills Hub model will also support INSET, Apprenticeships and Traineeships. This innovative partnership will place Skills Hubs at the heart of meeting the specialist skills and professional development needs of schools. Each Skills Hub will in the long term be involved in research into areas of education and developing innovative curriculum tools and materials, aimed at improving teaching and learning in schools.
The Skills Hub model will address the specialist skills required by schools in areas like supporting teaching and learning in schools and counselling. Skills Hubs will revolutionise how schools access the specialist skills required to meet the needs of the schools workforce.
